The Ultimate Value
Founders attend group office hours every other week where they sit down with other companies in their group and their group’s mentors. The meetings help founders get used to regularly reporting their numbers and staying accountable to a larger group. It also gives companies a chance to talk about the challenges they’re working through and learn from peers who’ve recently overcome similar obstacles.
WORDKSHOPS AND CONFERENCES
Current companies and alumni are invited to workshops and conferences that cover topics like hiring, enterprise sales and design. Events such as A20 Founder, A20 Investor and A20 Growth allow startups to:
All companies admitted to Angola 2.0 receive 20M AKZ in funding in exchange for a 10% stake. We believe this is a great tradeoff, as it provides access to services and resources worth more than $1M. In addition, through A20 Ventures, Angola 2.0 will continue investing in companies that continue to grow in order to maintain our participation.
DEMO DAY & INVESTOR DAY
Our program culminates in Demo Day, when founders have 2.5 minutes to present their company to a room of invitees. The presentations are recorded and posted to YC’s Demo Day site, and can be watched for a week after the event. The videos, as well as Demo Day itself, result in significant exposure for the companies of their products and services. The day after Demo Day, we host Investor Day, where we invite top investors to meet one-on-one with companies in the batch.
